Doctors from government medical colleges and hospitals across Telangana are continuing black badge protests against Government Order 229, which seeks to add four new ex-officio members to the Telangana Medical Council.
The Telangana Government Doctors Association has opposed the State government’s reported move to appoint an IAS officer as Vice-Chancellor of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, insisting that the post be given to a senior medical professional to protect academic standards and institutional autonomy
“Many of us entered the service with dedication and a deep sense of purpose, but today we feel disheartened and undervalued,” said members of the Telangana Teaching Government Doctors Association (TTGDA) on Friday, adding that the ongoing neglect by political and administrative leadership is impacting not just their morale but also the quality of patient care and academic standards.
