The Telangana Food Safety department is organising a two-part public engagement programme on April 6 as part of Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika Health Week. Events include an Eat Right Walkathon from Jal Vihar to Necklace Road, an Eat Right Mela at Nature Cure Hospital with training and certification for food handlers, and a Millet Mela.
Food Safety Officers seized 1,903 units of expired and mislabelled food during inspections at 75 warehouses in Telangana, including those operated by major e-commerce platforms. Notices were issued to 32 establishments, and samples were lifted for quality testing under FSSA norms.
