The Congress government in Telangana faces fresh controversy after the son of a senior Minister was allegedly involved in a land-grabbing case in Vattinagulapally, Gandipet mandal. Despite a court stay order, the Minister’s son and his aides reportedly trespassed into a three-acre plot, prompting police intervention.
Expressing concern about the rising number of road accidents, the minister addressed the public through a video message on Thursday. While extending wishes for Bathukamma and Dussehra, he urged everyone to pledge to obey traffic rules, reminding them that accidents can happen without warning.
The original value of the watches was estimated by Customs to be Rs 1.73 crore; the Patek Philipe has no dealer in India, while the Breguet is out of stock in the Indian market, an official press release by Customs said.
