Two children drowned while swimming in a village tank near Dabilpur in Medchal on Sunday. The victims, aged 14 and 12, were part of a group of six children. Police and SDRF teams were deployed for recovery operations.

The father, Mancha Chandrasekhar, 35, was addicted to betting heavily on cricket which threw the family into a severe financial crisis

Degavat Ravinder (10) and Kiran (9) went the canal banks when the former was washed away. Kiran tried to rescue but he also fell into the canal in the process.
