According to a complaint lodged by the minor's mother, the accused, identified as Wasil, took her son to a secluded place on Saturday and allegedly sodomised him.
Out of the 13 labourers who were admitted to a hospital, five have serious injuries and continue to receive medical care while eight others were discharged after treatment.
The incident took place in the Shahi area of Bareilly district and the accused, Sripal, has been booked under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of IPC.
