Residents of Vengalraonagar Colony have opposed the proposed TIMS mortuary near their residential area, citing sanitation, traffic and psychological concerns. They have urged the government to relocate the facility within the hospital campus and warned of continued protests until action is taken.
Tension erupted in Vengalraonagar as HYDRAA demolished structures on three acres of government land. Occupants alleged decades-long residence without notice, while authorities cited illegal construction. Police were deployed to maintain order amid protests during the operation.
According to the police, the corporator along with her husband had gone to Jubilee Hills following complaints of Congress party workers creating issue over putting flexis.
A round-the-clock Emergency Response Centre (ERC) of 108, 102 and 104 health care emergency services was launched at Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare (IIHFW), Vengalraonagar on Sunday.
