WhatsApp users across several countries reported disruptions affecting photos, videos, stickers, GIFs and other media, while text messaging largely continued. Outage reports emerged in India, Britain, France and other countries, with users reporting failed uploads despite troubleshooting attempts

Although minor hiccups  for apps are not uncommon, such a wide array of disruptions across unrelated platforms raises eyebrows

Users have reported difficulties in sending and receiving messages, with some also reporting problems with voice calls and other app functionalities.

WhatsApp acknowledged the problem and tweeted: "We are actively working to address the connectivity issues with WhatsApp, and we will provide updates here as soon as possible."
