Hyderabad: Several users across India reported issues with Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp starting around 8pm,on Saturday.
When checked on Downdetector, a website that tracks online service disruptions, there was a significant spike in outage reports for WhatsApp during this time.
Users have reported difficulties in sending and receiving messages, with some also reporting problems with voice calls and other app functionalities.
The outage appeared to affect both Android and iOS users.
Meta has not released an official statement regarding the cause of the disruption so far.
