Accordingly, senior officials held a meeting with retired forest officials from other States and experts at the Forest Academy in Dhulapally on Monday.
The incident took place in the morning in Gudhyari village under Sarangarh forest range when the deceased, identified as Manohar Patel, and his three friends were trying to click a selfie with the elephant.
The woman, Shahana, a college lecturer hailing from Kannur, had come to the resort with two family members and they were staying in a tent, when the animal attacked.
