Talasani, Mayor inspect stormwater drain works in Hyderabad
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav inspected the stormwater drain in Begumpet and asked the officials to expedite the works. Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi also inspected the drains located in GHMC Charminar zone.
Hyderabad: Works taken up to strengthen the stormwater drain network in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits were inspected by elected representatives including Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mayor G. Vijaya Laxmi on Monday.
This year, the State government has sanctioned Rs 45 crore to strengthen the stormwater drain network by widening and repairing the drains. Adding to that, as part of its ongoing exercise, the GHMC is also desilting them.
To make sure these works are executed efficiently and in a time-bound manner, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav inspected the stormwater drain in Begumpet and asked the officials to expedite the works. Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi also inspected the drains located in GHMC Charminar zone.
“I have inspected the nalas on the instructions of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao,” said the Mayor.
