Tamannaah Bhatia has begun filming Ragini 3, the latest installment in the horror franchise, in London. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is slated for a 2027 theatrical release.
Mumbai: Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has started shooting for her upcoming film “Ragini 3”, the latest installment in the horror franchise, in London.
The film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, is slated for a theatrical release in 2027, the makers said in a statement.
Billed as a “date night horror” entertainer, “Ragini 3” is expected to blend horror, romance and comedy while taking the franchise in a new direction.
Tamannaah shared the update with fans on Instagram Stories, posting a behind-the-scenes photograph holding the film’s clapperboard.
The “Ragini” franchise began with “Ragini MMS” (2011), starring Kainaz Motivala and Rajkummar Rao, followed by “Ragini MMS 2” (2014), headlined by Sunny Leone.
The franchise later expanded with the streaming series “Ragini MMS: Returns”, starring Karishma Sharma, Siddharth Gupta and Riya Sen.
Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms, “Ragini 3” is currently being filmed in London. Further details about the cast and plot are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Tamannaah was most recently in filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj’s “O’Romeo” in a special appearance. She will next feature in “The Vvaan-Force of the Forrest”, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra. The movie will be released in theatres in September this year.
