Eighteen years after his last movie Okato Number Kurradu, actor Taraka Ratna will greet Telugu audiences with the biopic of political leader Devineni Nehru which is going to be released soon.

Taraka Ratna is playing the title role in the film Devineni captioned ‘Bezawada Simham’. The movie is being directed by Narra Sivanageswara Rao and produced jointly by GSR and Ramu Rathod under the banners RTR Films. The film poster of Devineni was formally launched by senior actor Jeevitha Rajasekhar recently at the Prasad Labs.

The cast include senior actor Banerjee who is playing the role of Vangaveeti Radha, Suresh Kondeti as Vangaveeti Ranga, Tummala Prasanna Kumar as Chalasani Venkataratnam and music director is playing the role of KS Vyas.

The movie Devineni is set on the political backdrop of Vijayawada and the story tells the rivalry between two politically influenced families and a few important chapters of faction politics.

According to director Nagu, the movie is largely based on real incidents and has layers of sentiment, friendship and rivalry.

“Although several movies had come in Telugu based on Vijayawada politics, this movie is going to have a stark contrast from all previous movies. Without hurting the sentiments of people, we had carried out proper research meeting both the families and leaders to get factually correct script,” director Nagu said.
