Adilabad: Legislators and cadres of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party condemned comments by Prime Minister Narendra Modi against Telangana in Parliament.

Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran, participating in a similar protest in Nirmal district headquarters, maintained that Modi had insulted the sacrifices of martyrs of Telangana by making the remarks. He demanded an unconditional apology from him and requested the public to teach a lesson to the party. He urged them to be cautious of religious party.

In Mancherial, Government Whip Balka Suman along with MLA Nadipelli Diwakar lambasted Narendra Modi for his remarks against creation of separate Telangana State. Suman opined that BJP always opposed the formation of a new State. They both participated in a bike rally take out from IB Chowk to Bellampalli chowrasta. They earlier garlanded a statue of the architect of the Indian constitution.

In Adilabad, Jogu Ramanna took part in the protest and rebuked the Prime Minister. He opined that Modi’s remarks hurt the self-respect of people of Telangana. He lashed out at members of Parliament belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and from Telangana for being silent while Modi was making such negative statements in Parliament.

“The soil of Telangana is drenched with the blood of tribal legend Kumram Bheem. It’s a shame on the part of MPs of BJP of Telangana to be mute spectators when the Prime Minister was insulting the process of the formation of Telangana,” he stated. He participated in a massive bike rally and burning effigy of the Centre at Kumram Bheem Chowk in the district centre. The participants wore black badges and carried black flags.

In the meantime, the protesters led by local MLAs burned effigy of Modi and criticised him for making objectionable remarks against Telangana in Boath, Khanapur, Sirpur (T), Bellampalli, Mudhole and Asifabad Assembly constituencies. Massive bike rallies and burning effigies of Modi marked the protests.
