Hyderabad: Joining the Green India Challenge (GIC) initiative of TRS Rajya Sabha MP, J Santosh Kumar, Director SS Rajamouli, and actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR planted saplings in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The trio joined the challenge at Jubilee Hills here in the presence of Santosh Kumar, GIC co-founder Karunakar Reddy, and others.

Santosh Kumar, thanking the team for joining the challenge amid a busy schedule ahead of RRR release, hoped their gesture to plant saplings will encourage others to replicate the same across the country.

Later, he took to the social media platform Twitter to thank the team. “Amazing that the Team RRR movie including Ram Charan, Tarak, SS Rajamouli, and others who have come forward to plant saplings on the occasion of the release of their movie RRR as part of Green India Challenge initiative,” he tweeted.

The team praised Santosh Kumar’s government’s efforts towards developing greenery and said it would surely benefit future generations. They appealed that everyone should plant trees for making the country a Green and Clean India.
