Teen drowns in pond in Mancherial
A 15-year-old boy, Madavi Suresh, drowned in a pond at Venkatapur village in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district while trying to fish with local youngsters. The boy had come to his aunt’s house for summer holidays. Divers later recovered the body
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 15-year-old boy drowned in a pond while trying to fish at Venkatapur village on Sunday. Police said the boy, identified as Madavi Suresh from Chinna Aradipelli, had come to his aunt’s home in Venkatapur for summer holidays a week ago.
Suresh, along with some local youngsters, visited the pond. He slipped into the pond dug by the forest department to prevent encroachment of forest land. The youngsters alerted his relatives, who in turn approached the police. His body was retrieved from the pond by expert divers.
