Telangana: 25 passengers injured as private bus overturns near Bazarhathnoor in Adilabad
At least 25 passengers were injured, one critically, after a private bus overturned on NH 44 near Bazarhathnoor in Adilabad on Saturday night. The bus was travelling from Vijayawada to Amaravathi, Maharashtra. Police registered a case and began investigation.
Adilabad: About 25 passengers sustained injuries when a private traveller bus overturned on NH 44 on the outskirts of Bazarhathnoor mandal centre on Saturday night.
According to police, the mishap occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle at a curve and crashed into the highway railing, causing the bus to overturn. Of the 32 passengers onboard, 25 suffered minor injuries. All the injured were shifted to RIMS-Adilabad for treatment, where the condition of one passenger was reported to be critical.
Police rushed to the spot and took up rescue operations, summoning 108 ambulances to transport the injured to the hospital. The bus, which originated in Vijayawada, was en route to Amaravati in Maharashtra at the time of the accident.
A case has been registered and investigations are underway.
