Hyderabad: Attending Special Intensive Revision (SIR) electoral rolls hearings has been made easy. Henceforth, any adult family member of the voter concerned can attend in person hearing before the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant ERO and submit necessary documents. So far, an individual elector had to appear in-person for hearing.
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudharsan Reddy on Thursday directed officials concerned to accept relevant documents from the adult family member on behalf of the elector and initiate necessary steps to resolve issues related to notices.
Sudharsan Reddy noted that information regarding this has already been conveyed to District Election officers and instructed them to review notices and work towards their resolution.
Further, the CEO directed officials to make it mandatory to collect the prescribed declaration form for all pending and future Form-6 applications, while considering October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date. He also directed officials to take the necessary steps to ensure that the voter-list revision process is carried out in accordance with the ECI rules.
