Telangana: Another Ashram school student dies in Asifabad
A 12-year-old student of a tribal welfare Ashram school in Asifabad district died of fever while undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital, Warangal. This follows a previous student death in November at a similar institution, raising concerns over health and safety standards.

KUMRAM BHEEM ASIFABAD: Another student from a tribal welfare department-run Ashram school died of fever while undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital, Warangal, on Monday. The incident came to light on Tuesday.
Sources said 12-year-old Athram Anurag, a Class VII student of the Ashram school at Pangidi Madara village in Tiryani mandal, died during treatment at the hospital. He was shifted there on Monday after his health deteriorated. Earlier, he had been admitted to a primary health centre in Tiryani mandal headquarters three days ago.
Officials of the tribal welfare department were not available for comment.
On November 25, another student, Choudari Shailaja, a Class IX girl from an Ashram school in Wankidi, died while undergoing treatment at NIMS, Hyderabad. She was among around 65 students who had fallen ill after having dinner at the school hostel on October 30. Following her death, six staff members including the headmaster were suspended for dereliction of duties.
