Telangana: Apply online for drugs to treat Black fungus
Individuals who need Amphotericin B, Posaconazole and Isavuconazole, all meant for treatment of the fungal infection, have to send their request to ent-mcrm@telangana.gov.in
Hyderabad: Patients and their relatives looking to approach the special committee headed by Director of Medical Education (DME) Dr K Ramesh Reddy to seek drugs for treatment of mucormycosis have to submit their applications online. Individuals who need Amphotericin B, Posaconazole and Isavuconazole, all meant for treatment of the fungal infection, have to send their request to ent-mcrm@telangana.gov.in
The applications will be scrutinised by the committee that comprises DME, Superintendent of ENT Hospital and Head of ENT, Gandhi Medical College and Hospital. The recommendation of the committee will be communicated to the approved applicant through email or SMS who then has to visit the stockist from where they can purchase the medicine.
The State Drug Control Administration (DCA) on its part has already issued directives to all the manufacturers and distributors of the drug to send their drugs to the stockists, from where the medicines will be retailed.
