Hyderabad: Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Tuesday rejected all adjournment motions moved by Opposition members and adjourned the House to meet again on Wednesday.

The BRS sought a discussion on the delay in payment of retirement benefits to State government employees. BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao said several retired employees were facing hardship due to pending gratuity, General Provident Fund and other retirement benefits. He said the delay in release of benefits had caused serious financial difficulties for pensioners. The BRS members demanded clarity from the government on budget allocations to clear the pending dues.

BJP MLA Payal Shankar moved a motion on non-implementation of the Telangana Fasal Bima Yojana, while CPI MLA Kunamaneni Sambasiva Rao also sought a discussion on pending retirement benefits to government employees.
