Telangana athletes Jeevanji Deepthi and Akira Nandan won gold medals in their respective 400m events at the National para athletics meet in Bhubaneshwar, delivering strong performances and bringing recognition to the State

Hyderabad: International Jeevanji Deepthi of Telangana clinched gold in the 400m event (T-20 category) with a timing of 57.75 seconds in the National para athletics meet in Bhubaneshwar on Friday.
In the T-38 category 400m race, Akira Nandan, also of Telangana, displayed remarkable speed, completing the race in 51.99 seconds and winning another gold medal.
“The Para Athletics Association of Telangana always encourages and supports such talented athletes,” G Prashanth, founder general secretary of PAT, said in a statement, expressing his happiness and appreciation.
“We hope these performances by Deepthi and Akira will inspire many more athletes from the State to win laurels at the highest level,” he said.
