Telangana: Bhadrachalam police seize 80 kg ganja found in eucalyptus farm

Kothagudem: Unidentified persons dumped around 80 kg of dry ganja in a eucalyptus farm in Bhadrachalam of Kothagudem district on Thursday.

Inspector T Swamy said, a farm worker who noticed 50 packets containing ganja informed the police. The police seized the substance worth about Rs 20 lakh, booked a case and launched an investigation.

With the increased police patrolling the smugglers might have feared getting caught by the police and hence abandoned the material in the farm, he said.
