Telangana: BRS leader arrested in Nalgonda

Prominent Dalit activist and BRS leader, Anneparti Shekhar, was reportedly arrested by the police, whereabouts not known

Nalgonda: BRS leader and prominent Dalit activist Anneparti Shekhar was arrested by the police late on Thursday night.

The police broke into his house smashing the doors to take him into custody. Their raid on his house created a commotion and panic among the residents.

The family members were given no information as to why he was arrested and where he would be taken. The local police said Shekhar was arrested in connection with a complaint received by them.

He was accused in a case pertaining to financial issues involving some residents of the village.
