Telangana: Chairperson polls in three municipalities on April 4

The State Election Commission announced that elections for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson posts in Ibrahimpatnam, Kyatanpally and Khanapur municipalities will be held on April 4 at 12.30 p.m., with April 5 kept as an alternative date

Hyderabad: Elections for the posts of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson in three municipalities including Ibrahimpatnam, Kyatanpally and Khanapur will be conducted at 12.30 pm on April 4.

If the elections could not be held on April 4 due to any reason, they can be held on April 5, State Election Commissioner I Rani Kumudini said here on Monday. District Collector and officials have been directed to issue a notice for convening a special meeting for elections on April 2.


Prior to the elections, the officials have to conduct swearing-in ceremony of elected ward members at 11 am on April 4.
