Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was slightly indisposed, following which he underwent a battery of tests at Yashoda Hospitals in Somajiguda on Friday. However, the doctors, who examined the test reports, declared that he was in good health and advised a week-long rest for complete recovery.
According to the CMO communication, Chandrashekhar Rao has been weak for the past two days and was suffering from slight pain in the left arm. Following an alert, a group of doctors from Yashoda Hospitals led by the Chief Minister’s personal physician Dr MV Rao rushed to the Pragathi Bhavan at around 9 am. Later, they suggested for undergoing the preventive annual health check-up which was due in February.
The Chief Minister was admitted in the day care at Yashoda Hospitals in Somajiguda where he underwent a battery of tests. A routine CT scan, ECG, 2D Echo and an Angiogram as well as MRI tests on brain and neck, were all performed in addition to various diagnostic tests and all parameters were found to to be normal. This is just a preventive check-up, the release from the Chief Minister’s Office said. Later, he was discharged.
Later, the doctors at Yashoda Hospitals led by Chief of Medical Services Dr Vishnu Reddy and the Chief Minister’s personal physician Dr MV Rao informed the mediapersons said the Chief Minister underwent complete evaluation for his health complaints as a preventive measure. They declared that his health condition was completely normal. The doctors found that all vital parameters were normal.
“After all the tests, we concluded that his left hand pain was due to mild Cervical Spondylitis which is normal for his age. He has been undertaking lot of tours these days. He also spends lot of time reading newspapers, books and using his Ipad which could have led to the problem. However, he had been advised to rest for at least a week,” Dr MV Rao told mediapersons. He informed that routine blood and diabetic tests will be performed every week, and his next annual health check-up will be conducted in March next year.
The Chief Minister’s wife Shobha Rao, son and Minister KT Rama Rao, daughter K Kavitha, and Rajya Sabha member J Santosh Kumar accompanied him. Telangana State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, TRS MPs, MLAs, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP M Mahender Reddy and several other officials also visited Yashoda Hospitals.
