Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday alleged that Congress leaders were infected with the ‘virus of corruption’. Right from contracts to clearing of pending bills, nothing was done without paying commissions. Every government department was reeling under corruption, he alleged while speaking to the media during Ugadi celebrations here.
According to the new ‘panchangam’, besides new diseases, robberies, corruption of public representatives as well as officials would be high in the New Year.
That was true if one observed the Congress government, he remarked. Sanjay Kumar also welcomed the State government’s decision to distribute fine variety rice to the public, adding the Centre was bearing the cost three times higher than that being borne by the State government.
While the Centre was providing Rs 40 per kilogram of rice, the State government’s share was only Rs 10, he said, demanding that therefore, the photograph of the Prime Minister should be displayed at all ration shops.
