Telangana constitutes Pollution Control Appellate Authority to hear environmental appeals
To strengthen environmental governance, the Telangana government has established the Telangana Pollution Control Appellate Authority (TGPCAA) for a two-year term.

Hyderabad: To provide a statutory mechanism for addressing appeals related to environmental clearances and pollution control directives, the State government has constituted the Telangana Pollution Control Appellate Authority (TGPCAA) for a period of two years.
In accordance with the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the EFS&T Department has constituted the TGPCAA with Justice Sambasiva Rao Naidu, former High Court Judge, as the Chairman. The members include Dr. Gade Dayakar, Professor of Chemistry (Retd), Kakatiya University.
The authority will serve as the designated forum for hearing appeals against orders issued by the Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB). All appellants seeking redressal under the relevant environmental laws can approach the authority for filing appeals at the TGPCAA office, located at Gaganvihar Building, 1st Floor, opposite. Gandhi Bhavan.
