Rachakonda SHE Teams nab 141 persons in two weeks
In a significant women’s safety initiative, Rachakonda She Teams apprehended 141 individuals, including 42 minors, for harassing women across metro stations, bus stops, workplaces, and colleges between June 1 and 15.

Hyderabad: In the last fortnight, the Rachakonda SHE Teams caught 141 persons including 42 minors for harassing women at various spots across the Commissionerate. They booked criminal and petty cases and persons caught were counselled during this period.
Officials said a total of 163 complaints were received from various sources, including direct submissions, WhatsApp and via social media from various hotspots like metro trains, stations, bus stops, workplaces and colleges across Rachakonda between June 1 and 15.
Those caught attended mandatory counselling sessions conducted by trained counsellors and professional psychologists at the Police Commissioner’s camp office at LB Nagar.
According to officials, out of the 141 persons caught, 42 were minors, who were counselled by senior psychologists. Apart from this, six persons were caught during decoy operations at various places including on metro trains and fines were imposed.
Meanwhile, the Rachakonda Police, with the cooperation of self-help groups, conducted awareness programmes on the harmful effects of child marriages and two child marriages were stopped.
