Yadadri-Bhongir: Large number of devotees participated in “Giri Pradakshana” (walking around Yadadri hill shrine) on Tuesday on the occasion of Swathi Nakshathram, the birth star of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy.
On the auspicious occasion, temple priests performed Ashthothra Shathaghatbhishekham to the presiding deities in Balalayam. The temple priests also performed pooja with 108 kalashas in the kalyana mandapam, besides Sahasthra Namarchana. Special pujas programmes were also conducted at Pathagutta Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple.
TRS leader Chinthala Venkateshwar Reddy donated Rs 1,16,166 to Yadadri temple authorities for the gold plating of Vimana Gopuram of the main temple.
