Telangana Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy expressed grief over the demise of former undivided Andhra Pradesh DGP H J Dora, recalling his contributions to police training, welfare initiatives and strategies that strengthened the force during the fight against Naxalism
Hyderabad: B Shivadhar Reddy, Director General of Police, on Friday expressed grief over the demise of former undivided Andhra Pradesh DGP H J Dora, describing him as a visionary officer and mentor to many in the police department.
Shivadhar Reddy recalled that Dora had initiated the ‘Retreat’ programme for reviewing policing strategies, which was recently revived by the Telangana Police. He said Dora also strengthened police training systems, introduced welfare initiatives for personnel and played a significant role in enhancing the force’s capabilities during the fight against Naxalism.
Stating that the department had lost a dedicated guide, Shivadhar Reddy conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Dora’s family members.
