Despite the student pleading with authorities and breaking down, she was reportedly denied entry into the centre.

Speaking to reporters, Spandana said she arrived at the centre from Jangaon district and was two minutes late. “Despite making repeated requests to the centre observer, I am told to leave the centre,” she said.

The JNTU-Hyderabad, which is holding the entrance examination, has already announced that no candidate will be allowed into the centre even if they are late by a minute.
