Telangana experiences slight relief from scorching heat as temperatures fall
IMD-Hyderabad has issued an orange alert predicting rain and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds, and hailstorms in several districts of the State on March 23
Hyderabad: Weather conditions in the State are expected to get slightly better with temperatures set to fall moderately. After expecting heat wave-like conditions across Telangana, people are now experiencing relief from the scorching Sun.
According to an IMD- Hyderabad forecast, the city is experiencing a minimum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius. With a partly cloudy sky, the temperature is expected to reach a maximum of 36 degrees Celsius for the next two days.
On Thursday, the maximum temperature in districts hovered between 25 and 28 degrees C. In Ramagundam, the average maximum temperature of 26.6 degrees C was recorded. In Adilabad, the average maximum temperature recorded was 27.8 degrees C while in Nizamabad, the temperature recorded was 26.2 degrees Celsius.
Khammam recorded a maximum temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius, while Hanamkonda experienced a temperature of 24.5 degrees Celsius. Medak recorded a temperature of 25.2 degrees Celsius.
However, the weather department has issued an orange alert predicting rain and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds (40 to 50 kmph), and hailstorms in several districts of the State on March 23 providing a slight relief from the ongoing summer conditions.
“Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the State. No large change in maximum temperatures during the next 2 days, thereafter slight fall in temperatures during the next 3 days. Maximum temperatures are normal during the next 2 days. Thereafter slightly below normal for the next 3 days”, IMD said in a bulletin on Thursday.
“Thunderstorms accompanied with Lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at isolated places in the Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy districts of Telangana,” it added.
In a forecast on thundershowers, weather forecaster from Hyderabad, T Balaji, popular for his TelanganaWeatherman handle on X, said, “With the convergence setting up, thunderstorms to start today mainly in North TG Today only Adilabad, Nirmal, Asifabad will get scattered intense storms, other parts of Telangana including Hyderabad will stay dry and hot More intense storms ahead tomorrow.”
