Beginning with Mahakumbha Samprokshanam at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, Yadadri on March 28, a series of festivities are lined up during the next few days with Ugadi being celebrated on April 2 and Sri Rama Navami on April 10.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will be participating in the Maha Kumbha Samprokshanam of the renovated Yadadri temple. The temple management is organizing seven-day Panchakundathmaka Homam at Balalayam in the temple complex from March 21.
The temple management is making elaborate arrangements for the rituals. Devotees would be permitted to have darshan of the lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in the sanctum sanctorum atop the hill from March 28, temple officials said.
Similarly, the State Government has decided to conduct the Ugadi (Telugu New Year) festivities on a grand note this year. Since last two years, the festivities were a low-key affair due to covid pandemic.
But this year, with the covid situation under control and as per the directions of the health department, there would be grand celebrations involving people, a senior official from Endowments Department said.
Official programmes would be organsied to release the Panchagam (almanac) and there would be recitation of the same by eminent pandits. People would be permitted to participate in these programmes, the official said.
Likewise, Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy had announced that the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama and Sri Seetha would be performed on a grand scale at the historic Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple, Badrachalam on April 10 amidst public gathering.
Already, instructions have been issued to the department officials to deck up the Mithila Stadium – the venue for celestial wedding, besides elaborate arrangements to ensure there was no inconvenience to devotees.
