Nalgonda: A fisherman Nidura Venkanna (55) drowned in Musi project at Bopparam of Kethepally mandal in Nalgonda district. He was native of Itukulaphad village of Shaligowraram mandal in the district.
According to the police, Venkanna went to Musi project for fishing on Tuesday evening and not returned to the home till late night.
On the complaint of his family members, the police on Wednesday took up search for him in Musi project and fished out his body.
It is suspected that he slipped into the water from thermocol made raft, which was used by the victim to go into the project, resulting into the incident. The body of Venkanna has been shifted to government hospital of Nakrekal for postmortem.
