Hyderabad: The State government is offering 25 per cent rebate for Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applicants, who pay the regularisation fee and open space charges on or before March 31 this year, on the regularisation fee.
Applicants have the option of paying the pro-rata open space charges at the time of obtaining the building permission. The open space charges will be calculated at 14 per cent of market value. The 25 percent rebate is not applicable for payments, if charges are paid after March 31.
To this effect, the government has issued GOMs 28 on Thursday. The orders will be applicable in districts where the MLC elections model code of conduct is not in vogue.
The State government has taken this decision after noticing that the exercise to process the LRS applications is very slow due to procedural complexities. Further, a few unauthorised plots remain unregistered due to technicalities, despite compliance with LRS regulations.
The government has also announced that any unregistered plots, which are forming part of unauthorised layouts wherein 10 per cent of plots were already sold through registered sale deed on or before September 26, 2020, irrespective of whether such owners have applied under LRS- 2020. They will be permitted for registration with the competent sub-registrar, duly after payment of regularisation fee and pro-rata open space charges.
The Sub-Registrars have also been directed to collect the details of such plots and transmitted them to LRS portal for further processing.
