Mancheria: Government Whip Balka Suman said that the government was committed to convert state-run schools on par with educational institutions operated by corporate agencies. He laid foundation stone to work on the compound wall, kitchen and drinking water facility at a school in Kyathanpalli municipality on Saturday. The estimated cost of the works is Rs 17 lakh.

Suman stated that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao conceptualized the innovative Mana Ooru-Mana Badi scheme, spending Rs 7,289 crore and benefitting 19.84 lakh students of government schools. The objective is to avoid financial burden on the financially weak students and to mold students as model citizens of the country, he explained.
