Hyderabad: The State government accorded administrative sanction of Rs 15 crore for taking up developmental works at Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Singapattam (Singotam) village in Kollapur mandal of Nagarkurnool district under ‘Special Development Fund for Welfare and Developmental Activities’ scheme for the current financial year.
The funds were sanctioned following a request from the Endowments department in this regard.
The Endowments authorities have submitted proposals for taking up the temple development with Rs 5.76 crore, land acquisition with Rs 3.49 crore, accommodation facilities with Rs 3.3 crore, water supply works with Rs 85 lakh, pilgrim services with Rs 84 crore, sewerage and santitation works with Rs 76 lakh.
After considering the proposals, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao gave his approval for taking up the works. Accordingly, the Planning department sanctioned the funds to the Endowments department and directed the District Collector of Nagarkurnool for taking up the developmental works at Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.
