Telangana govt, SCR hold key meeting on railway infrastructure projects
A coordination meeting between the Telangana government and South Central Railway was held in Hyderabad to review ongoing railway projects. Discussions included ROBs, RUBs, and a proposed high-speed rail corridor linking major cities, aiming to improve infrastructure development.

Hyderabad: To address issues related to ongoing railway projects in the State, a high-level coordination meeting between the government and the South Central Railway (SCR) was held at Rail Nilayam on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, along with senior officials from both sides.
Discussions focused on infrastructure works such as Road over Bridges (ROBs), Road under Bridges (RUBs), new railway lines, and station development. Railway authorities sought the State’s support in land acquisition, clearances, and shifting of utilities to speed up project execution.
Preliminary talks were also held on a proposed high-speed rail corridor linking Hyderabad with Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune, along with a review of the Regional Ring Rail project.
Officials stressed that improved coordination between the railways and the state government would help accelerate infrastructure development and benefit the public while boosting economic growth.
