Hyderabad: The State government will launch a first of its kind Intellectual Property (IP) mascot called ‘IP Buddy’ in January. The IP mascot will be an initiative of the State government and will be powered by Resolute4ip of LC GC Resolute Group to provide a platform for all stakeholders to interact, connect and get solutions and issues resolved by the IP Buddy.
The IP Buddy will go to schools, colleges and MSMEs to bring in the IP awareness and help all to understand the IPRs. It will have a 24X7 WhatsApp number to connect and solve enquiries on IPRs, ideas, non-disclosure agreements and brand registration and other aspects. The Delhi Public School, Nacharam, is the school partner for this initiative, a company release said.
Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) recently launched the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission and has set a target of spreading awareness on IPRs to one million students with special focus on class 8-12 students in schools and colleges across the nation, it added.
