Siddipet: A 17-year-old intermediate student, Pasula Tejasri, showed great courage on Wednesday when she controlled her grief and made sure that she fulfilled her father’s dreams.
Just hours before the exam began on Wednesday, Tejasri’s father Lingam (50), a goods vehicle driver, was killed in a road accident at Nacharam after his vehicle went out of control and crashed into a roadside electric pole last night.
The news of her father’s death left Tejasri, her mother Yadamma, and brother Sai Kumar in shock. Since it was night, the family decided to perform the funeral on Wednesday.
While the body was kept at home on Wednesday morning before the funeral, Tejasri decided to write the examination so that her father’s dreams of her education would not be shattered.
Tejasri said her father always wanted to see her in a good position. Suppressing her grief, she reached the centre in Wargal and appeared for the exam, after which she returned home by noon and participated in her father’s funeral.
