Hyderabad: A two-judge panel of the Telangana High Court, comprising Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy, on Monday directed the Principal Secretary, Telangana, Commissioner and Inspector General Stamps and other contemnors to file their counters in a contempt petition filed by Neelam Goud.
The contempt petition was filed for wilful violation of court orders to receive process and register the documents presented by the petitioners with respect to their lands in Wanaparthy village. The main grievance of the petitioners was that in spite of having registered sale deeds and mutation entries carried out in revenue records in their favour, the authorities were not receiving, processing or registering the documents presented by them. The panel had earlier directed the authorities to receive and register the documents of the petitioner.
The panel while directing the contemnors to file counters orally observed that the sub-registrar was bound to follow the orders of the panel and not of his hierarchy. The matter will be taken up after 2 weeks.
Contempt plea
Justice A Abhishekh Reddy ordered notice to Tahsildar of Tharigopula village and mandal Jangaon district, MD Saleem in a contempt case filed by Kondam Madhusudhan Reddy. The petitioner complained that though the court directed the authorities to maintain the status quo with regard to entries in the revenue records, the authorities failed to do so.
The petitioner had filed a writ petition aggrieved by the orders passed by the Joint Collector entertaining mutation of revenue records. The matter will be heard on April 6.
