Hyderabad: Telangana Home Department on Wednesday permitted a hike in ticket rates for ‘Akhanda-2’ movie, which is set to be released on December 12 in theatres across Telangana.
Home Department Special Chief Secretary CV Anand stated in an official memo issued on Wednesday that all theatre managements are permitted to collect Rs 600 (including GST) for a special benefit show (one show) of ‘Akhanda-2’, which will be screened at 8 pm on December 11.
The enhanced rates for all theatres include a Rs 50 hike per ticket (including GST) for single screens and Rs 100 per ticket (including GST) in multiplexes. These enhanced rates are applicable for three days only, from December 12 to 14, according to CV Anand.
All theatre managements screening this movie at enhanced rates are directed to contribute 20 per cent of the incremental revenue earned from the movie to the Telugu Film Industry Employees Welfare Association account to support the film industry workers, he stated in the official memo.
