Hyderabad: Barring a printing error and grammatical mistakes in the question papers, the intermediate public examinations (IPE) 2025 have concluded smoothly across the State.
A total of 294 out of 295 second-year students appeared for the modern language paper – II and geography – II examination, with which the intermediate exams that had commenced on March 21 have ended on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the spot evaluation of the intermediate answer scripts commenced at 19 spot evaluation camps setup across the State. The evaluation work is expected to complete on April 10 and later results processing will be carried out. The results are likely to be declared in the third week of April.
This time, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) announced four marks to students who attempted question no.7 related to a pie chart in the English paper-II. This decision was taken as students raised concerns regarding lines in the chart.
Also, six errors were reported in the first-year question papers of Botany, Mathematics and Political Science subjects. However, after commencement of the exam, the Board released the errata correcting the mistakes in the question papers.
For the first time this year, in a move to prevent leakage and safeguard exams integrity, the TG BIE printed a unique number and QR code, which comprised encrypted data, on each cover page of the question paper, as well as across subsequent pages as a watermark.
The feature enabled TGBIE to monitor each question paper at every stage starting from printing to delivery at the centres and students. The initiative was also aimed at identifying the source of the question paper leak, if any.
