Telangana IPS Association condemns Bandi’s remarks against police officials
Hyderabad CP Anjani Kumar said the police personnel have been working with utmost dedication round-the-clock beyond working hours in the interest of the society
Hyderabad: Telangana IPS Association here on Wednesday condemned the statement made by Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar against police officers probing the Bhainsa incident.
“It is unfortunate that a senior leader like Bandi Sanjay made such unfounded and sweeping allegations against the police in general and IPS officers in particular,” Hyderabad Police Commissioner and Association secretary Anjani Kumar said in a statement.
The police officers took all the necessary steps in Bhainsa within the ambit of law to control the conflict and restore peace. The police officers had acted impartially and only in the interest of law and order and public safety, he said.
Casting aspersions on police officers, who acted as per law in such a dire situation, will lead to lawlessness and anarchy in society emboldening the offenders to take law into their hands and indulge in large-scale violence resulting in breakdown of law and order, he said.
Anjani Kumar said the police personnel have been working with utmost dedication round-the-clock beyond working hours in the interest of the society. Bandi Sanjay accusing the police officers without any basis or fact is far from truth and deplorable, he added.
