Hyderabad: The Telangana Gazetted Junior Lecturers Association_475 on Sunday demanded the State government extend the breakfast and mid-day meal scheme to all the government junior colleges across the State.
In an online representation submitted to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, association president Dr Vasukula Srinivas and general secretary Dr Koppishetti Suresh said despite nearly a month into commencement of the fresh academic year, the breakfast and mid-day meal scheme is being implemented in only a few colleges on a pilot basis.
Further, the association demanded the government resolve long-pending issues, including increment of the 2023 batch junior lecturers. Despite the High Court delivering a favourable verdict, the Intermediate Education department has not taken up the process of giving increments and probation declaration for the 2023 batch junior lecturers, it said. The association also wanted the government to address issues with regard to development of junior colleges.
