Karimnagar: Though there is nothing new in government officials demanding bribe, corruption among officials seems to have gone up in the recent past. Fifteen officials were trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) within a span of five months in the district.

Though officials of 13 Government Departments, which have direct connection with the public, have frequently been involved in corruption, the percentage is high in the revenue and police departments. In a recent incident, ACB officials had arrested Irrigation Department.
