Telangana: Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s outburst did not come to notice, claims TPCC Disciplinary Committee
The TPCC Disciplinary Committee said it was unaware of Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s criticism of the Congress government, despite his vocal remarks. The committee focused on other party disputes and urged unity ahead of local body polls
Hyderabad: Despite Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s repeated criticism of the Congress party and its government, the TPCC Disciplinary Committee has claimed that the MLA’s remarks did not come to its notice.
In recent weeks, the Munugode MLA has been vocal against the Congress government, particularly Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, on multiple occasions. Yet, the TPCC Disciplinary Committee, which met at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, maintained that it was unaware of his statements.
Committee chairman and Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi said the members discussed various issues for close to two hours. “Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s issue did not come to our notice,” he said.
Interestingly, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, during an informal chat with media persons on Saturday, had said the party’s Disciplinary Committee would handle the Munugode MLA’s issue. However, according to the committee chairman, there was no discussion at all on Rajgopal Reddy’s comments.
Ravi said Jadcherla MLA J Anirudh Reddy, who also made a few comments against the party and the State government’s functioning, was discussed at length. Similarly, the committee deliberated on the rift between former MLC Konda Murali and Congress MLAs from erstwhile Warangal. Both groups agreed to work for the party’s cause and ensure its victory in the local body elections, he said.
Speaking to media persons, Murali, who appeared before the committee for the second time on Sunday, said all issues raised were clarified.
“The committee expressed satisfaction and instructed me to work to strengthen the party. Our ultimate goal is to make Congress MP Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of India,” Murali said.
