Telangana logs 2,524 new Covid cases, 18 deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana has reported 2,524 new Covid infections and 18 fatalities till Monday evening, pushing the cumulative number of deaths to 3,281 and the total number of positive cases to 5,78,351.

Between Sunday and Monday, authorities conducted 87,110 Covid rapid tests of which test results of 1,948 samples are awaited. On Monday, 3,464 individuals recovered with a recovery rate of 93.53 per cent. So far, a total of 1,51,76,159 Covid tests were conducted in the State.

The Covid positive cases reported from the districts included nine cases from Adilabad, 128 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 307 from areas under the GHMC, 53 from Jagitial, 33 from Jangaon, 65 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 36 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 16 from Kamareddy, 96 from Karimnagar,  134 from Khammam,  20 from Kumram Bheem Asifabad, 90 from Mahabubnagar, 111 from Mahabubabad, 87 from Mancherial, 29 from Medak, 114 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 53 from Mulugu, 51 from Nagarkurnool, 183 from Nalgonda, 17 from Narayanpet, 12 from Nirmal, 35 from Nizamabad, 101 from Peddapalli, 75 from Sircilla, 142 from Rangareddy, 22 from Sangareddy, 99 from Siddipet, 62 from Suryapet, 77 from Vikarabad, 54 from Wanaparthy, 63 from Warangal Rural, 104 from Warangal Urban and 46 from Yadadri-Bhongir.
