Jagtial: A man allegedly duped several unemployed people by promising to provide loans under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation programme.

About Rs 30 crore was reportedly collected from people from different places in the district.


A native of Hajipur mand of Mancherial district, Konicherla Venu allegedly lured people promising loans under the scheme.

If they wanted to get loans, they had to deposit some amount with him.

Believing in his promise, some people paid Venu. Showing this as evidence, he collected amounts from more people from different places in the district.

As they could not get loans even after a long time, the victims started pressuring Venu. As he was not available to them, they complained to the police.
