Telangana: Miscreants set cars on fire in Kothagudem, Khammam

Kothagudem: An unidentified miscreant set on fire the car of a former SCCL employee, advocate GK Sampath during the wee hours of Tuesday.
In the incident that was recorded by CCTV camera, a youth wearing a hooded jacket was seen dousing the car with petrol and setting it on fire. The car was parked in an open ground outside the house of the advocate SCB Nagar in the Ramavaram area.
Noticing the car on fire, the advocate informed the fire brigade, after which the firefighters reached the spot and extinguished the fire. By the time the fire brigade reached the spot, Sampath’s car and the car parked next to it were completely gutted. The motive of the miscreant was unknown and a complaint in connection with the incident was lodged with the two-town police.
In a similar incident in Khammam, a jeep of a person, Chand Pasha, was set on fire by unidentified miscreants at Bathupalli village of Sathupalli mandal. In a complaint to the local police, he said some persons came in a car and doused the vehicle with petrol, set it on fire and fled the spot.
